“I was thinking how lucky I am that my son receives so much personal attention. Then I realized that he isn't the only one! Every child at RJA gets that kind of special attention. That's one of the things that sets this school apart.”

Physical Education

Health and nutrition are a priority at The Saul Mirowitz Day School. Through non-competitive physical activities, we give students the opportunity to build strength and endurance...and brain cells, too!

Research shows that mental focus and concentration levels in children improve significantly after engaging in structured physical activity. Our PE program is designed around the notion that fitness, health, wellness and classroom learning are interdependent. Each child develops a unique fitness plan that focuses on enhancing cardiovascular strength, and developing a healthy lifestyle and lifelong interest in recreational fitness.

Students attend PE class three days a week, and an optional hour of PE is offered before school once a week. Our PE instructor also works with classroom teachers to incorporate physical exercise into learning activities.
