Technology
Today, the definition of literacy includes more than reading and writing. Our students have opportunities to learn, comprehend and interact with technology in meaningful ways.
As educators, we are the guardians of good learning, and we believe that technology is a tool for that learning — a way to access information, communicate and efficiently organize ideas. Each classroom is equipped with several computers and an Interactive SMART Board — a touch-sensitive screen that allows teachers and students to save, print and email the images on the board, and to connect with the limitless resources of the Internet.
Our students develop proficiency with PowerPoint and various word processing applications. They make podcasts using iMovie and add sound to their presentations using GarageBand. Their facility with technology prepares them well for further learning and growth.
