Vicki Platke’s Story
At Abby's first set of conferences at Parkway Northeast Middle School, one of the teachers commented "The kids from RJA come in ready to learn. They are so prepared. I wish that all the kids had that kind of education." Teacher after teacher commented that kid's from RJA were not only prepared academically, but also had strong social skills and the ability to work well in teams.
I took a deep breath and let it out and allowed myself to look at our family's life and noticed all of the positive influences that came from being members of the RJA community. I realized that dinner conversations about whether or not the Torah was literal and about which charity we should support don't just happen. Those moments are created.
And now, when I lie in bed at night, I count RJA as one of the things for which I am most grateful, knowing that the school is a wonderful partner in our efforts to raise happy, well-adjusted children.
