-
What is the annual appeal?
Each year, RJA must raise enough private support to close the gap between tuition and the real cost of educating our students. We do that through our Annual Appeal. Unrestricted gifts, including net proceeds from our fundraising events, also help us close that gap.
-
Why not just raise tuition so that it fully covers costs?
If tuition was increased to cover the actual cost of all programs, many families could not afford to send their children here. We are committed to keeping the cost of tuition as moderate as possible.
-
Is giving to the Annual Appeal unique to our school?
No. Very few, if any, private schools meet full operational costs with tuition alone. They, too, rely on the generosity and loyalty of their constituents and supporters.

How much should we give?
Only you can decide. Remember that all gifts to the Annual Appeal, no matter the size, are valuable both for the sustenance they provide and the messages they send. When we reach 100% participation by parents, grandparents and alumni – those who are arguably closest to the school – we send a powerful message to others that RJA is an institution worth supporting.
