Teacher/Student Ratio
SMDS-RJA boasts a teacher:student ratio of 1:6.
In addition to classroom teachers and Hebrew teachers, the learning experience is enriched by specialists including: a social worker, librarian, artist-in-residence, music and drama teacher, band director, physical education teacher, and many community rabbis, cantors and educators.
Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Before-school care is offered from 7:30-8:30 a.m.
- After-school care is offered until 5:30 p.m.

The demographics of our student body is testament to the diversity within the Jewish community. SMDS-RJA families come from more than 20 zip codes, a broad socioeconomic range and varying levels of Jewish observance.

RJA Graduates
Over the last five years, 30 percent of RJA fifth graders chose to apply to private independent middle schools, and all were accepted into the schools of their choice. All students have matriculated seamlessly into demanding middle school environments.
