“Though they are still young, the students at RJA already have shown the capacity and desire to accept responsibility to make the world a better place. We are thrilled to include the school among our philanthropic priorities.”

“why i give”
Sue Matlof
If I could, I would bottle self-confidence and give it away. Children, after all, deserve the opportunity to reach their potential. And they can…if only they believe in themselves.
I didn’t come to RJA knowing it was a self-confidence factory. I came because I had too much time on my hands, and a friend recruited me to volunteer in the development office.
That was five years ago. Today I am the school’s bookkeeper, and I see self-confident children reaching their potential every day. The students I hear giggling in the hallway are critical thinkers, high achievers, proud and knowledgeable Jews, and compassionate children…and they believe in themselves.
I can’t bottle self-confidence, but I can come close. Through the Jewish Community Foundation, I have made arrangements for a future gift to fund scholarships at The Saul Mirowitz Day School. It’s my way of ensuring that every child has access to this spectacular elementary school experience, and the opportunity to enter their teens with confidence.
